Recent Files
Access every file you've uploaded and every artifact Odeus has generated, from one place. Preview, download, and organize files without digging through individual chats.
Recent Files shows the files that flow through your work in Odeus: documents and tables you upload to a chat or directly to the Library, and artifacts Odeus generates during a conversation.
What appears in Recent Files
| Origin | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Generated | Artifacts Odeus produces in chat (documents, tables, charts, and other generated files) |
| Uploaded | Files you upload directly to a conversation or to the Library |
Files stored inside Folders are managed in the Folders section, not here.
Grid and list view
Toggle between grid view (thumbnails) and list view (rows with details) using the view switcher at the top of the Recent Files section.
Filtering
Use the filter controls to narrow down files by file type, date, and origin (Uploaded or Generated).
File actions
Each file has a set of actions available from its context menu:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Preview | Open a preview of the file |
| Download | Download the original file |
| Jump to chat | Open the chat the file came from |
| Start chat | Open a new chat with this file attached |
| Move to folder | Move the file into a Folder |
| Delete | Remove the file permanently |
File preview
You can preview files without leaving the Library:
Inline thumbnail. Visible on each file card in grid view.
Side panel. Click a file to open a resizable preview panel alongside the grid.
Full-screen. Open a larger preview. Multi-page files (documents, presentations) show a page strip for quick navigation.
Moving files to a Folder
From any file's context menu, select Move to folder and choose the destination Folder. Once a file is in a Folder, it becomes part of that Folder's searchable Knowledge Hub and can be referenced via @mention in chat. See Folders for how Folder search works.
